Hellos and Goodbyes

One of the blessings of living in Africa is having people in our homes for extended stays. Although some people are fearful of being a burden on us, it is actually quite the opposite...we LOVE it! The part we don't like is having to say goodbye and send them home. We have done more of this in the past two weeks than we prefer. We enjoyed our first group from GracePointe (our sponsoring congregation from Montgomery, AL) and then April's parents arrived just as they were leaving. We are now saying goodbye to them and our hearts are full. Our boys might go through a social withdrawal when we arrive back home. So where does this leave us? Treasuring the memories we have made and looking forward to the new ones on their way with the next set of visitors. Come see us, we love it!

April-
I was just listening to Betsy and Shea Lea talk about their experience with y'all and it sounds like it was a blast! Lots of adventures!

They mentioned that you make homemade pizza and I was wondering what the dough recipe is and if you use a certain kind of flour. We've been experimenting for about a month and have a pretty good one that has all-purpose flour, yeast, sugar, salt and water. I'd love to hear about your pizza adventures!

My email is jduckbaker @ gmail dot com. Talk to you soon!

Looks like y'all had some really good times with visitors!

will be praying for you guys as you transition back into a family of four without grandparents around. and praying for april and the boys especially as i know it's always hard for me and my boys as they try and understand that papa and nena aren't just down the hall, and i try desperately to explain... God bless you guys... looks like you made some wonderful memories :)
