"No, no, not for baby" is a common phrase around our house. But this post isn't about Caden, it's about us! We went flying and it didn't involve an airplane or helicopter. That's right, we both went paragliding. Some people might say we jumped off a mountain, but in reality, you start running and the air just picks you up off the side of the mountain before you get a chance to "jump". It was a thrilling experience that compares to nothing else...nothing else human, that is. I'm sure the birds think it's no big deal...but to us, it was a HUGE deal. We highly recommend it!
brett and i didn't go at the same time...in fact, it was two different days because i wasn't sure i wanted to go until brett had tried it out first. ;) plus, there were other people from school there too. caden had plenty of friends to play with even when mommy and daddy were taking pictures.
AWESOME!!! Those pics are wonderful. The US does not have a corner on beauty. I did hang gliding SOLO in North Carolina a few years ago but I prefer having a motor out front to stay up longer. Who says missionaries can't have fun?
It is so fun to see and hear about all your adventures. I know it is a sacrifice to be away from family and friends, and that it is a lot of work being in language school, but it seems like God is "throwing you a bone" every once in awhile wouldn't ya say! I miss you. When I get back from all my travels I plan on giving you a call. Molly
You know that old saying "If everybody was jumping off a bridge, would you do it too?" You gotta watch out following that "unique" and "adventurous" husband of yours!!!! love and hugs, MOM and DAD E. xoxo ps Dad said he would love to do this too! :) I would only do it if I were in a coma! ha ha!
I don't respond often and have mentioned my blog to noone but use blogs to keep up with everyone. I have been following you through Albertville and have viewed your apartment. Of course, I am noting Caden's first words, and I am jealous of your adventures. I am so glad that things are going well. You are in such a beautiful part of the world. Maybe the residents will learn to see God in all the beauty that surrounds them. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you prepare for Africa.
