Corban Stewart Emerson
Corban is here! He made his appearance on Friday, November 23rd at 10:45 GMT. He weighs 7lbs 4oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. He looks alot like Caden did when he was first born, which is a good sign for him, since Caden has always been an adorable little boy. The name Corban comes from Mark 7:11 and means, "A gift dedicated to God". His middle name, Stewart, is in honor of April's grandparents on her mom's side. They are beautiful, God-fearing people that we hope Corban gets a chance to know and emulate in the years to come...
The first ever pic snapped of Corban (besides ultrasounds of course...)
Washing all of the gunk off

Daddy with his new little boy...I have TWO SONS!!!
Go Blue!!!
Corban, meet your big brother!
Caden has been so sweet and curious with his new baby brother...
Getting a very good look at this new baby brother...
Corban and his mommy! April is doing great and was so amazing during labor...with no meds!
First pic of the three of us...there was no way we could have gotten Caden to sit still for this...
About to hit the road after36 hours in the hospital
Leaving the hospital
Corban has been a great baby in the first day and a half of his life, nursing well, sleeping alot, and being very sweet in temperment. Thank you to the Lord our God for another precious gift of life. Delivering in Africa, we learned even more astutely that newborn lives are incredibly fragile and precious, and that Corban's life is truly in His capable hands. It was different without any of our family or dear friends to be here with us, but we did enjoy the intimacy of it being just our family. We knew when we signed up that leaving behind friends and family would be the biggest sacrifice we make as missionaries, but God fills the holes and sustains us through your communication and prayers. We love you all so much!

Yea! Corban is here! He is so beautiful and we are so glad that all went well... God bless you guys and know that you are so right... you are being surrounded by prayers of all those who could not be there in person to share with you. God bless your travels back home and your life as a family of 4 :)
congrats! Corban is beautiful! He looks so healthy and calm...and a lot like Caden! Caden is having a big time with the baby bed ('monkey bars'), he doesn't seem to sure what to think of Corban but he loves his bed... April you look GREAT! Way to go 'natural'...I think I felt better afterwards, because of going natural...hope you do too...we are praying for all four of you...it's an awesome blessing and a large adjustment at the same time....we love you four so much! Aunt Jo and Jim
We are so proud of you April!! Corban is beautiful!
April,Corban's "wink" picture reminds me of one of your newborn pictures with the same "wink"! ;-)
Caden is ready to "romp" with Corban now, or at least swing with him. =-)I'm sure Caden will enjoy swinging Corban in his cradle. =-)
Brett,I know you are so excited and with great reasons, these two boys are such a blessing!!
Now begins an awesome time of a family of four! We can't wait to hold, hug, and play with everyone in December!!!
Having the pictures and videos is the next best thing!!
Thank you and we love you all dearly,
Nanna and Gran'Pa
So glad to hear that you had a good experience with your Africa delivery. I knew you could do it April :). Looks like Corban is a perfect addition to the Emerson family. Hope to talk to you soon.
Dear Brett and April, Caden and Corbin,
Congratulations on your new arrival. You are truly blessed to have two sons (I say that because I had two).
April I was praying for your delivery and I am glad it went well. Brett looks tired in the pictures - I will pray for sleep for both of you.
We are so proud of what you are doing in Africa.
Love,
The Fralick Family
I already left congratulations once, but I have to tell you how much i love the photos and expecially the videos! I can't believe you did it with no meds, April! You are one brave lady! And Caden is so precious looking at and holding Corben...just remember that he's still gonna need a lot of Mama love and the only time you really have to hold Corben is when he is eating...he won't know the difference, but Caden will...I learned that the hard way with Laura and Joe! Caden will be a great big brother and you and Brett will be and are wonderful parents! I love you all and can't wait to get back in your part of the world to see you again. We plan to come back next October....so hopefully we can see you then if you don't get here first!
Brett and April,
What a handsome little guy! Don't you think he looks like his Papa!!?? (Envision him with a beard.)
Two boys will keep you busy, but they will be worth it. I know my two were worth it.
Wish Gamma and I were there.
Love,
Dad
Congratulations you two! He is absolutly handsome! I know Caden will enjoy having this little bundle to teach all his knowledge to. Glad everything went well with the birth. we are thinking about you all!
Yea!!!! :) We are so excited for you guys. Corban looks great...healthy and beautiful (lovin' the little shout out to Michigan)! April, I am so impressed with how wonderful you look too!! Know that you have and will continue to be covered in prayer. What a mighty God we serve and what amazing blessings He showers on us! I hope to talk to you soon. We love you! Julie
Corban,
Welcome sweet boy to a family who will always love you no matter where in the world you may be!! You know love knows no distance and we are holding you in our hearts already. We will keep praying for you and your precious big brother and Mommy & Daddy every day until we get to hold you in our very own arms.
You are our 7th precious grandchild and you know 7 is the number of perfection.
always your loving Gamma xoxoxo
Congratulations, Brett and April! He is so beautiful! Kelly G.
Many congratulations! Well done to the whole family! We'll be praying for the transition into a 4 person family. You sure have 2 handsome boys. You're right - it's very different not only delivering in a different county, but not having "family" there. Although our team sure went above and beyond with Eliana's birth.
April you don't look like you just gave birth! You look like you still have some energy and it's a good thing because those two are going to keep you guys very busy! Praise God for wonderful husbands that want to share the work load! We are so thankful that Corban is here and he is healthy. You guys are amazing and inspiring, we miss you and pray for you.
-Laura
Wow, 2 boys. You guys are going to have so much fun. Just wait for about a year and a half when Corban will want to do everything just like his big brother. It is a lot of fun and a lot of stress sometimes. You guys will definitely be blessed. You are in our prayers always.
Kevin
YEAH! I can't believe Corban is finally here! I have treasured "meeting" him, and just wish I could wrap my arms around you and celebrate with you in person. Know that I am "wrapping" you in prayers, and thinking so much of you. I love you sweet April, and the rest of the Emerson Clan (your an official clan now!). I would LOVE to talk soon! Molly
Congratulations! Welcome to the world, Corban!
The Kings
Congratulations!! He is precious! Glad everything went well and everyone is healthy. Having a baby in a different country is definitely an experience. Madison was born in Scotland when we were doing mission work there. I actually loved most of the experience! She also loves telling people she was born in a different country! Great bragging rights and definitely something neat to put on those mingleing games you play in college and functions. Congrats Again!
What a thrill to actually see pictures of our second great grandchild. Corban, looks as precious as Caden. And we feel so honored and blessed with your choice of his middle name. Proverbs 17:6 is truly a blessing to us. Thank you and feel the prayers and loving hugs sent to all four of you..So proud of your courage and accomplishments. We love you so very, very much.
Grand Dad and Granny Dot

I SO can't wait to talk to you guys. Glad to hear that all went well and I can't believe that you're already home. Sheesh!!
Do me a favor...update Corban's Lilypie counter! Hahah!!
We'll talk soon.

Congrats Emerson Family on adding another bundle of joy to your family!
Congratulations! What a sweet, wonderful, little boy. Praise God that he's here and that he's doing so well! We will keep you in prayer as you settle back in at home.

Congratulations guys,
Glad all is going ok. I try to keep track on what's up when I talk to Rick. I'll try to keep up better with the blog. I did not find out until today, Dec. 4 when I read the SVCC email with prayer list.

He's sweet!
