Our banana trees are giving fruit a lot these days, and they are tasty! Here is a picture of one of our bananas next to a locally grown banana for comparison:

Our bananas are bigger and tastier; I think that this is mostly due to the all natural composting we do that fills our soil and the trees roots with valuable nutrients. The funny irony: We have an absurd amount of bananas around the house, but our pet monkey, Tiggy, doesn't like bananas!

Wish we had a banana tree...we go through lots of bananas. My 3 love banana bread so I buy bananas just to let them go bad and bake bread :) I was looking at our wish list....if you are mailed a package from the US how long does it take to get there? Just wondering as we send Matt's brother in China packages and it takes about 2 weeks for them to get it therefore we don't send perishables to them :(
typically a box takes 2-3 weeks...sometimes padded envelopes will come as quickly as 10 days.
Your bananas look wonderful! Makes me hungry for one. =-)
That is so funny that Tiggy does not like them.
Just curious, in the last picture was the monkey in the house or on the porch. I had a friend in high school that had a pet monkey that they kept in the house, but put it in a cage crate when they were gone. It only took leaving it out once to know they never wanted to do that again. Ha!=-)
