Curious Caden's Birthday Party

We're leaving for Rome today with Brett's parents, but we knew everyone would want to see pictures from Caden's 1st birthday party. His actual birthday is Wednesday (25th) but we celebrated yesterday. We'll write more when we return. For now, enjoy!

Now that is I think the most cheerful, happy 1 year old I've ever seen :-) Have a WONDERFUL time in Rome.

We have skype now...just have to find the time to sit down and start using it!!

"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dearest Caden, Happy Birthday to you!... And many more!!!"
This "song" will have to do until you get back from Rome and we can sing it to you over the computer/phone. Have fun with Mommy, Daddy, Gamma and Papa. It looks like your cake was really good!! =-)
We love you and wish we could be there helping you celebrate!!!!!!
I know you are having a lot of fun.
Loads of {{{hugs}}} and =-* kisses,
Nanna and Gran'Pa

Happy Birthday, Caden! Too bad my arrival in Rome didn't occur at the same time as yours! I would love to see you! Vivian and I are going to spend Thanksgiving in southern Italy with Beckie. You could make another trip down, you know....

How much of that cake did he eat? Is his nose going to be brown in the next pic?
Has his b-day present gotten there yet? The guy at the counter said it would get there in about 5 days. But, i don't think he knew what he was talking about.
Of course I wanted to start him on his first action figures, but Sarah wasn't too keen on that idea. So, he'll have to settle for a more "educational" gift. (I'll try to get my way next year.)

One year old! It's so hard to believe. He is SO cute. Is he speaking French yet? If not, he will be any moment.

So good to see your name in my comments! Little Caden is such a sweetheart! I love how the blog world is so small ... I look forward to checking in with you every once in a while!
