Our little gloworm

Our little gloworm

Our precious little boy had jaundice the first few days of his life. We were blessed to be able to treat him with photo therapy at home. Sometimes, photo therapy is given by placing the baby under certain lights to help break down the biliruben. Caden had a light that he wore on his back which strapped to his little body. This allowed us to hold him and feed him. Unfortunatly, it required us to keep Caden close to an outlet, making movement limited. The light let off a "glow" making him look like a gloworm. We also had to suppliment his feedings with formula until my milk came in. Caden had his heal pricked to check his biliruben count until it was down to a safe level. Praise God he was only on the machine for four days.
